I love the little cheeks in the underwear!
Day three went way better than day two. She only had two accidents and ten successes. A big accomplishment was waking up dry from her nap. On day one, she went to the toilet on her own when she needed to go, I never had to ask her. That is one thing that has changed…I am now asking her every 10-15 minutes if she needs to go (she always says no) then I started setting the timer to remind her to go into the bathroom and try. That seemed to help. She did resist sitting down on the toilet several times yesterday so I decided to bring some flashcards into the bathroom to help her take her mind of the action…that seemed to help as well. One last thing I have learned is that she doesn't completely empty her bladder each time she goes so I make her try again about 15 minutes after she goes potty.
Today I went to a women's breakfast and Andy to get the whole potty training experience for the first time. She did have one accident with him but he is still getting used to understanding her signals. Other than the one accident, she has had ten successes. Tonight we are going on our first outing to a friend's house for dinner, hopefully she will be successful. Tomorrow is the big outing when we head to church…we will see how that goes.
Enjoy these cute little pictures. I have to post them because I think they are so cute and I will print this blog someday.
Flashcards while she does her business…
