Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I love when I feel special on my birthday and it is only 2:00 and I already feel so loved! I woke up to a very nice card from Andy and a very practical "Burton" gift (they are practical people and we love them for this). He got me a handsfree speaker bluetooth thingy for my car, which was much needed…considering my previous ticket for talking on the phone. Besides the gift, I know he has something very nice planned for this weekend and I can't wait…we will blog about that day when it comes. Around 9:00 my in-laws came over to truly serve me at my house. They decided that for my birthday gift they would come over and do much needed yard work! They trimmed back trees, cut all the dead leaves off of my palm tree and attacked my over grown (but valuable) sago palm. They did all of this while I was at my morning women's Bible study.

(After seeing this bad boy cleaned up, I wished I would have taken a before picture…Just imagine leaves growing all the way from the bottom of the plant and hanging over the sidewalk I never knew Sagos were supposed to look like this).

When I arrived at my Bible study, the table was nicely decorated and the wonderful ladies had flowers and homemade from scratch cupcakes for me (may I mention that they were the BEST cupcakes I have ever had, close runner with my mother-in-law's oreo cupcakes)! I have learned that I think I have a love for cupcakes! I have tried three amazing kinds of cupcakes in the past week and I am now convinced this is my new dessert…(that was totally a tangent but I had to share)!

Besides all of that, I had tons of Facebook love (although Facebook tells everyone it is my birthday) but it still makes me feel loved that people stopped what they were doing and took the time to tell me happy birthday and some of those people genuinely remembered that it was my birthday. Overall it has been a great day and I am looking forward to this weekend.

BUT THE GIFT THAT TAKES THE CAKE: AUBREY WOKE UP DRY THIS MORNING and has woke up dry from her nap the past several days! (I don't know if this will be consistent, but we will see).
